Horizon House was happy to team up with Community Health and Gardens, Inc. in West Philadelphia yesterday afternoon to plant some seeds in the dirt. We had a great volunteer turnout with some staff and participants from one of our Behavioral Health Services, the Wellness Alliance. Everyone had a wonderful time pitching in and getting their hands dirty. We raked, shoveled, pulled weeds, and watered the new seeds for this lovely community garden. To top it all off, the weather was sunny and perfect for a nice afternoon spent together!
