It was an honor and pleasure earlier this week to be a part of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services Brighter Futures Awards where Susan Carney of the Philadelphia Marriott Old City Hotel was presented with the 2024 Education Award of Excellence. Susan, Horizon House’s nominee for the award, has long been a supporter of our mission as she has happily employed and supported participants at the hotel over the last several years in a number of different capacities and roles. Susan is an incredible teacher, mentor and friend to our participants and continues to be an inspiration for our entire Agency. Thank you and congratulations, Susan!
